I loved this book!! I have to admit that I cried for the last 15 pages or so..Wayne was an incredible man! A kind, gentle, classy southern gentleman. Being in a wheelchair certainly made his life more complicated, but it was such a small part of who he was. I wish I had gotten to meet him. To Walk With My Brother A True Story of Courage, Humor and Love I had the book with me on vacation and my son would always ask, "What's Wayne up to now?!", when he would hear me laugh. Wayne grew up in a wonderful, giving family that always thought of others....a true inspiration. (I also loved all of the pictures...it was fun to see pictures of the people in the book.) God bless you, Wayne!
I have been privileged to share the stories of Wayne Thornton's life over the years through my friendship with his loving and adoring sister, Evelyn.
In her book, Evelyn not only shares Wayne's life but also acclimates the reader to the historical events taking place in the episodes as this brave boy is growing into a humble man and to the love and caring that everyone who knew Wayne felt for him. Although I never met Wayne, I now feel like I know him, his family, his friends and the trials and triumphs that he endured and accomplished with their support. This is a heartfelt story of the joys and accomplishments of a son, brother, and friend who could have given up, but instead chose to live his life to its fullest with the love and support of family and friends and his faith in God. I know what a difficult story this was to tell because of the pain it resurrected. I am so grateful to all that contributed to it in order to share Wayne's life with us all. It is definitely a story that needed to be told and Michael Bisceqlia has done such an amazing job of relaying Evelyn's story that I can actually clearly see the smile on Wayne's face in my mind's eye.

I FOUND THE BOOK VERY UPLIFTING AND INSPIRATIONAL. THE COURAGE AND DETERMINATION TO SUCCEED IN SPITE OF HIS HANDICAPS WAS TRULY AMAZING.
